So i recently returned to the homeland, and promptly set about doing fuck all and being bored as hell. Well i say that, although my boredom is sharing a bed with my inate lazyness, creating a bizarre paradox where i'm desperately bored but too lazy to get off my arse and do anything about it. curse you, brain.
So basically instead of doing the things i desperately need to do like getting a job, i've been spending most of my waking hours drinking, with the occasional friend and often alone, in my room, smoking heavily and reading. yesterday i read all of Julian Barnes' 'Nothing To Be Frightened Of' in a single day. it's like three hundred pages. shows you how little i've been doing. I also drank the extortionately priced cuban rum my sister brought back from cuba. so i ended up tipsy, reading and thinking extensively about death. then i fell asleep and had a hideous nightmare.
so at this very moment it's obscenely humid, but rainy as fuck outside. lightning keeps striking and blowing the power for a half hour which is irratating to say the least.
and what am i going to do now? rewrite my piece of shit CV is what so i can go hand it round a bunch of places i have no desire to work at. then maybe i'll go to the pub and drink my boredom away.

aah Bopp was a good night. a live swing band, drunkenness, fun times.
anyway, it's come to my attention i never update this anymore.
i have a blog i use as a sketchbook for projects here but mostly i just put my stuff on my flickr. i don't really have time to post inane details of my life on here anymore, to be honest.

Tom is a wonderful photographer. In the year I've known him I've seen him go from fiddling around with digital cameras to shooting possibly my favourite portrait of me ever
i..just love it. i mean not that he was ever a bad photographer by any means, i just love what he's doing these days. He's just bought a Hassleblad, which was what that was shot on, and i think he's all the better for it.
anyway, i demand you go show his flickr some care and attention.

anyway, the other night we got drunk at adam's and explored an abandoned flat. last night i got drunk at a house warming party.it was lovely, and we all had a damn fine time. i've also done other things other than drinking and generally had a rather nice time of late, so good times.

Last week, alfie visited for four whole days! it was delicious. When he arrived we went for a pint and then went climbing.
( AND IT WAS AWESOME )
in other news, i got my hair cut yesterday. It's now a lot shorter, but i like it.
incidently i, obviously, didn't take all of those shots, we were just sharing tom's digital compact.

This friday i'm supposed to be going to london with a bunch of people from my class for a trip of sorts, which should be awesome, although will never compete the near-deadly amounts of fun that was had when i went with the college. still, should be good. I'm also gonna try and get to Norwich this weekend to see kerm. apparently there's a huge party going on which should be cool but i'm also a bit nervous about, since kerm will quite literally be the only person there i know. I met a few of his friends when they were up but i can't remember any of them. eep.
anyway, it's almost five in the morning and it's taken a ludicrous amount of time to scan, clean up, and upload these photos, so now i'm going to bed.
